Our options were Carpedm or secret garden but the secret garden was too busy to loud. Carpedm hostel is beautiful! The upstairs kitchen has city view, breakfast was delicious our room was very clean and comfortable. I would definitely recommend it if you want a peaceful relaxing and clean place!

The driver was prompt and very courteous and kind, even walked me to the front door of the hostel! The hostel was very welcoming and beautiful, and the rooms were clean with everything I needed for an overnight stay. Beds and pillows were comfortable, which I was super grateful for after 18 hrs of travel! Thank you to all the staff for a wonderful stay. I hope to return again in the future!

Accueil très charmant de Fernanda. Paul, le propriétaire, parle parfaitement le français. Je recommande vivement. Mise à jour en 2023. C'est endroit est toujours un de mes préférés à Quito, idéalement situé entre le centre historique et la ville nouvelle, une base idéale avec un internet de qualité ! Merci pour votre accueil.  Verified Quito Vacation I visited Quito before and after taking a trip to the Galapagos Islands, and I stayed at CasaCarpeDM through the agency that booked my trip. From the very beginning of the trip, even before I got to Quito, the customer service was excellent in regard to getting me a ride to and from the airport. I spoke with Fehr, and she was able to assure me that there would be a driver waiting for me when I arrived which was true and he was very easy to find! The ride was also a ton cheaper than what the agency provided as well. I ended up having breakfast and dinner on the last day at CasaCarpeDM which was great and cheap as well. Fehr also gave me some INCREDIBLE recommendations on the last day I was there. I ended up going to the "middle of the world" and Fehr was able to get me a driver to take me there and drop me off at every location and tourist site up there and the driver was there every time I was done at each location which made it a lot easier than an uber or lyft. She also mentioned going to Casa Agave which is an incredible tequila museum and bar which was an unbelievable recommendation. All in all, I had a great time staying at CasaCarpe and I would definitely stay there again if I go to Quito, Ecuador!

 Verified Great experience The hostal is really well located. The team - Fher, Cathy and the other girls - are really nice, friendly and helpful. We had to go to the hospital because my boyfriend was sick and the called quickly a cab, sent us to a good hospital. The manager of the hotel came to visit us at the hospital and was always available for anything. As well, they are so great organizing trips for their guests. We will go back there for sure if we go back to Quito.

El servicio fue excepcional y todos muy prontos para ayudar con todo lo que necesitamos durante nuestra estancia en quito.  Verified Melhor hospedagem em Quito Lugar extremamente confortável, bem localizado, de bom gosto, café da manhã excelente e equipe gentil. A Fher é uma pessoa muito especial para mim e meu marido, pois já nos ajudou muito no ano passado durante a paralisação das estradas pelos protestos em 2022 e nos tornamos amigos desde então.  Verified Aanrader! Fijne kamers met goede bedden. Ook voor Nederlandse lengte goed. Badkamer prima met lekker warm water. Heel fijn dat er een koelkast is en ruimte om te koken wanneer je dat wil. Daarnaast echt een voordeel dat je gefilterd water kan tappen zodat je drinkwater hebt! We waren met zijn vieren en hebben ons goed vermaakt hier. Aanrader om naartoe te gaan. De mensen zijn ook enorm aardig en kunnen redelijk tot goed Engels over het algemeen. Ze leende ons zelfs 20 dollar toen wij nog geen contant geld hadden. Heel aardig!

 Verified Excellent hostel We stayed at the hostel prior to our G adventures tour. The staff were lovely, friendly and so helpful. The room was basic but as expected for the price. The place is located at a very nice location at walking distance from historic center and I received a lot of help from the staff. Also the best Spanish school within Ecuador "Escuela de Super Español" is super close to Casa CarpeDM which was a great experience for me! I recommend Casa CarpeDM????????????

 Verified Home far away from home Before our trip to Ecuador I did really searching the best place to stay in Quito that can be a homebase for my husband and I while exploring the country. I am so glad I chose Casa CarpeDM based on the reviews. I wish I can give 7 stars instead of 5. ???? Its strategic location, the cleanliness of the building, the comfortable bed, the nice sitting area upstair with beautiful view of the city, the well equipped kitchen and the most important thing is the hospitality from the owner Fher and Daniella, her daughter. Fher and Daniella kindly gave us useful advices related to our trip, treated us as family and went above and beyond every time we needed their help. I can't thank them enough for welcoming us to their casita and being so genuine, helpful and kind. I highly recommend CarpeDM. It is our home away from home.

 Verified Perfect accomodation, perfect location, perfect stuff - perfect stay! I had a very lovely and comfortable stay at Casa Carpe DM. Thanks to its good location the city center is in walking distance and two houses from the hostal there is a great place to get affordable lunch. In comparison to the other well-reviewed hostels, Casa Carpe DM is further away from the market place, which especially at night is a sketchy and not that safe area ow town. Therefore, I felt safe at this hostel. Especially, I want to highlight the amazing staff - Fernanda and her daughter who manage the hostel are extremely professional, have the best recommendations and contacts as well as they are very great people with lots of knowledge, good values and speak perfectly English. They are always trying to make the guests feels as comfortable as possible and have inspiring ideas. Furthermore, the rooms are super, clean and the kitchen area and community space provide with a great view over Quito and everything you need in a kitchen. Muchas gracias a ustedes, espero que les vaya muy bien!

 10Verified ☺The staff were incredibly friendly, kind and helpful, and spoke very good English - which was a real bonus for us as our Spanish is very limited. The airport pickup they organised for us was smooth and efficient. The facilities were clean and in good working order. The bed was comfortable and it was quiet enough for us to get a good sleep. I had seen some reviewers commenting on noise. It's true that there was some traffic noise in the mornings but nothing unusual for being in the middle of a big city.  10Verified Great staff, spotless rooms ☺Loved the staff here! They were so accommodating and made me feel at home (thank you Fernanda!). The dorm is super comfy and clean. Everything is spotless. Wifi was good, filtered water is provided and appreciated the airport transfers as well! Location is nice, close to other hostels and good restaurants, and a convenient walk to the historical center. ☹Huge disclaimer this is not their fault - just be aware there is some construction happening on the street in front, so it can be pretty noisy.
